In the previous preview, we've delved into the initial intentions of the 3D space mechanism, its new presentation, and changes in the fleet gameplay. This time, we will continue to reveal the changes in combat brought about by the 3D space mechanism.
The 3D space mechanism is expected to significantly alleviate the congestion issue when Space Stations are occupied, making it much smoother to capture Space Stations and more challenging to defend Space Stations. To ensure balance and fair strategic experience for the attacking and defending sides, we will add slightly weaker Defense Fleets to assist in defending Space Stations of Lv. 5 and above.
Specifically:
An Lv. 5 Space Station or Satellite City will have 72 extra weaker Defense Fleets on top of the existing 24 Defense Fleets.
An Lv. 7 Space Station or satellite city will have 93 extra weaker Defense Fleets on top of the existing 31 Defense Fleets.
An Lv. 9 Space Station or satellite city will have 111 extra weaker Defense Fleets on top of the existing 37 Defense Fleets.
(The increase in the number of Defense Fleets for Beginner Star Systems will be less than that for Standard Star Systems. The above figures may be subsequently adjusted upon final launch.)
The strength of these weaker Defense Fleets will not exceed that of a Lv. 3 Space Station Defense Fleet.
It is important to note that although the number of Defense Fleets has increased, it does not mean they will all always swarm at once in combat. Most of the time, Defense Fleets will still spawn gradually and engage in combat with the attackers following the same rules as before.
In the upcoming occupation gameplay, we hope all Explorers will cautiously deal with Defense Fleets instead of underestimating them. In the future, we will also continue to track and optimize the difficulty and experience of combat in multiplayer activities such as occupying Space Stations.
These are the details on the adjustments of the Space Station Defense Fleet. The 3D Space Mechanism will meet Explorers in the featured Pilot Server. The Pilot Server has started recruitment on October 9, 2024. For Details, please refer to the recruitment preview blue post. We welcome all Explorers to sign up for the Pilot Server Plan. Your attention and suggestions will help us further optimize the gameplay experience. Thank you for supporting Infinite Lagrange. Please stay tuned!
