Angulum Landing Gameplay Preview (Part 1)

2024-07-19

Whether we live underground or in orbit, half of our souls are missing.

— Ancient proverb of the Sacrum Chu Imperium

Humanity once spread across a third of the Milky Way with the help of the Lagrange Network. Yet, people have only uncovered a handful of "Second Homes" — Earth-like planets with potential for terraforming. As the Garden Planet Terraforming Project progresses, the Antonios Consortium has dedicated great effort to collecting and sorting out historical documents on planetary terraforming, especially the remaining historical data from the Sacrum Chu Imperium, which holds immense research value. During their exploration of the Angulum Star System, Explorers collected and submitted a massive amount of data and remaining archives. After extensive analysis and research on the submitted data, valuable clues were discovered.

It's a rocky planet that sits in the Angulum Star System, and its orbit, under the influence of the gravitational interference of three stars and warp jets, is already unpredictable. However, the historical records clearly document the information on the locations where the planet can be potentially observed and explored from time to time. After sending several expedition teams, NOMA Shipping Group finally sent back some data. The planet may have undergone initial transformations in its history. After the planet's surface environment was largely stabilized, the Sacrum Chu Imperium constructed several industrial sites and military complexes on its rocky surface in conjunction with the resource distribution and terrain. Are these unmanned fleets, which faithfully execute mechanical commands, still operational centuries after their operators have long perished? What does the planet's surface environment look like? Does it have the potential for further development? What kind of technological documents and secrets are buried deep in the ruins of the Sacrum Chu Imperium? Further exploration of the planet's surface is necessary at this point. The rallying call has been sent from the Angulum Star System to the City of Antontas, summoning countless Explorers to join the cause.

We plan to launch the "Angulum Landing" gameplay this summer. Upon entering the Angulum Star System, players may dispatch their fleets and dock them into the orbit of this rocky planet using the beacons previously deployed by NOMA Shipping Group. They can then detach ships capable of landing on the planet's surface from the fleets and send them to explore the surface of Angulum.

We will cover the details about landing on a planet and what players can do on the planet's surface in part 2. Stay tuned.
