Cross-system Expedition Gameplay Preview (III)

2024-11-12

In the previous preview, we covered how to start a cross-system expedition. In this preview, we will talk about the objectives and rewards of cross-system expeditions.

I. Earn Cross-System Influence

After traveling to foreign star systems, Explorers won't be able to gather resources or gain Occupancy, Rescue Points, Military Prestige, etc. The main objective in the cross-system expedition gameplay is to earn Cross-System Influence.

Explorers can earn Cross-System Influence via the following methods:

1. Explorers can earn a small amount of Cross-System Influence by assisting in connecting the Lagrange Network in their local star systems.

2. Explorers can earn Cross-System Influence by completing missions such as destroying Explorers' fleets, occupying Space Stations, and controlling the Lagrange Gate in foreign star systems.

3. Explorers can earn a large amount of Cross-System Influence by occupying, controlling, or destroying targets related to rating settlement in foreign star systems. The following actions under various Star System Agreements can earn Explorers Cross-System Influence:

Dawn Exploration Agreement 2.0: Occupy a level 6 or higher Space Station (or its sub-space station).

Node Recovery Agreement/Galactic Mutual Cooperation Agreement: Occupy a level 6 or higher Space Station (or its sub-space station).

Trojite Crystal Collection Agreement: Occupy a Space Station that produces Trojite Crystals (or its sub-space station). Control a Trojite Crystal Submission Trading Post.

Data Rescue Agreement: Occupy a Data Space Station (or its sub-space station). Control a Data Submission Trading Post.

Star System Rescue Agreement: Occupy a level 6 or higher Space Station (or its sub-space station). Defeat the Captors.

If a Space Station mentioned above is occupied in an alien star system, the expedition party will activate the "Cross-System Influence Progress" for the controlled Space Station. This progress will continue to grow at a certain rate. Each member of the Community occupying the Space Station will continuously receive Cross-System Influence at a fixed rate. When the progress reaches 100%, each member will immediately receive a large one-time Cross-System Influence reward. After that, this Space Station will no longer provide Cross-System Influence.

If a Trojite Crystal Submission Trading Post or Data Submission Trading Post is controlled by a faction from a foreign star system, the rules will be the same as the aforementioned rules for Space Stations. All members of the controller's Community will continuously earn Cross-System Influence, and the controller will receive bonus Cross-System Influence.

II. Rewards for Cross-system Expeditions

Based on the Cross-System Influence obtained by Explorers, they will be classified into five tiers: Star System Native, Cross-system Tourist, Cross-system Explorer, Cross-system Intervener, and Cluster Ruler.

Explorers who reach the tier of Cross-system Tourist or Cross-system Explorer will be able to obtain Dawn Points as rewards. Those who reach the tier of Cross-system Intervener or Cluster Ruler will additionally receive Limit-Time Research Agreement Vouchers, exclusive cross-system expedition equipment, exclusive Tech EXP for that equipment, and many other generous rewards.

III. Changes to the Rating Rules

In a cluster where the cross-system expedition gameplay is enabled, the rating rules of the original star system will also be affected.

1. If the Lagrange Gate of a star system is controlled by an Explorer from another star system during rating settlement, all Explorers in that star system will not be able to obtain the first and second level of rating results.

2. If a building in a star system is completely influenced by an Explorer from another star system (a foreign faction occupies it and advances the "Cross-System Influence Progress" to 100%), that building will no longer provide any rating-related rewards.

Dawn Exploration Agreement 2.0: Space Stations that are completely influenced will no longer provide Occupancy.

Node Recovery Agreement/Galactic Mutual Cooperation Agreement: Space stations that are completely influenced will no longer provide Occupancy.

Trojite Crystal Collection Agreement: Space Stations that are completely influenced will no longer produce Trojite Crystals. Trojite Crystals can no longer be submitted to Trojite Crystal Submission Trading Posts that are completely influenced.

Data Rescue Agreement: Space Stations that are completely influenced will no longer produce or accept data. Data can no longer be submitted to Data Submission Trading Posts that are completely influenced.

Star System Rescue Agreement: Space Stations that are completely influenced will no longer provide Rescue Points.

3. If the influence level in a star system reaches a certain percentage, the 1st/2nd/3rd places on the rating leaderboard in that star system will be permanently locked and unable to receive their corresponding rankings. (Effective only for Trojite Crystal Collection Agreement, Data Rescue Agreement, and Star System Rescue Agreement)

4. New rewards have been added to the existing tier 1 of the level 1 rating: If a Community achieves the following objectives, its members can receive additional collectible rewards.

Dawn Exploration Agreement 2.0/Node Recovery Agreement/Galactic Mutual Cooperation Agreement/Trojite Crystal Collection Agreement: Occupy multiple airspaces where Lagrange Gates are located.

Data Rescue Agreement: Occupy all level 7 and higher Data Space Station in multiple star systems.

Star System Rescue Agreement: Occupy level 25 Captor bases in multiple star systems.

The above rewards and changes are only applicable to cluster servers with the cross-system expedition gameplay enabled. For star system servers, the rating rules remain unchanged.

Explorers may choose their preferred cluster or star system servers and find the rating rules and rewards that suit them best when signing the agreement.
