Occupation and Control Operation Gameplay Preview (2) - Control Operation

2024-06-13

Dear Explorers, Greetings!
In the last preview, we covered the Landing Ship-related updates for you. In this preview, we will introduce the Control Operation and the details of this new gameplay.
A new gameplay, "Control Operation," will be added to some resource nodes, docking points, Trading Posts, and other targets, allowing Explorers to use landing ships to initiate control operations on them. After obtaining individual control over them, the player will receive certain buffs, gain resource packs, obtain Trading Post discounts, and more.
Individual Control Operation and Occupation gameplay will also be added to some Space Stations and other targets. After the Community completes the occupation of a Space Station Operation, Explorers may further obtain individual control over them and receive corresponding buffs.

[New Expanse Command - Moor]
We will provide the Explorer's fleet the command for basic interactions with all sorts of Expanse objects in the star system: Moor. Explorer may send their fleets to the moor target on the Expanse to execute the Moor command. After completing the command, you may enter the corresponding Moor Tactical View, allowing you to use the services the Moor target offers.

Planets, Stargates, Space Stations and Defensive Strongholds, Galactic Faction & Privateer Outposts, resources, Trading Posts, Docking Points, and other Expanse objects can be targets for mooring. After completing mooring, you may interact with the moor target in the Tactical View and use various services offered by the moor target.

[Control Operation]
Explorers may include a Landing Ship in their lineup, allowing it to launch Control Operations at the target while moored. Explorers may be attacked by automatic defense, fleets, and aircraft formations or face different difficulties during their Control Operations. The Control Operation is a unique adventure that will put your anti-ship, anti-aircraft, system disruption, survival, and other skills to the test.

After completing the Control Operation, the Explorer will gain individual control over the target. Therefore, the Explorer's Operation will be occupied to maintain control over the target. The object under control will offer buffs to the controller. The first batch of targets and their corresponding buffs available for the Control Operation gameplay are as follows:
Stargate: The controller will gain a great number of bonus Dawn Points in Star System Development Rating.
Space Station: After you gain control of a Space Station, your Community's members will enjoy increased mining speed and the effect of distributed collection when mining within the Operation. They can also upload the resources at the Space Station. The controller will receive an additional portion of the resources from mining within the Space Station Operation as Resource Dividend.
Galactic Faction Stronghold and Privateer Outpost: After your first control over it, you can immediately obtain the reserve resources.
Level 3-6 Resource Node: After gaining control, you may claim the corresponding type of resource pack in the form of missions every 6 hours.
Trading Post: After gaining control, you will enjoy a discount when trading at this Trading Post using uEcoins or resources.
Factory Docking Point: When controlled, it will offer a chance to trade supplies with the controller in the form of missions  every day. The content of the supplies includes: resource pack from trading, trading for Prefab Module with resources, trading for the higher version aircraft with uEcoins, trading for Action Points with Speedup, trading for the higher version ship/aircraft with resources.
Research Institute Docking Point: When controlled, it activates some of the docking point’s docking effects for the controller.

In the future, we will further expand the targets of Control Operations, bringing more exciting and varied post-control gameplay.

[Operation Occupation]
Space Stations and Outposts have Construction Operations, and their ownership and control over the buildings will bring different benefits to the Explorer. In this gameplay update, we've separated the benefits of these two: Explorers may siege the building with Operation Command and gain ownership of the Operation and the benefits associated with the Construction Operation. After the occupation is completed, the Explorer may seize control through the Control Operation and activate the corresponding benefits. Without changing the existing occupation process and occupation benefits of Space Stations and Outposts, we have added new occupation benefits for Space Stations and Outposts:
The following new benefits will be added after a Space Station is sieged and occupied:
    * Members of your Community may use the Space Station Operations to perform Mine, Transfer, and other Commands without using up their own Operations.
Galactic Faction and Privateer Outposts are no longer destroyed by default when occupied (destroying the Outpost is now a post-control benefit), and the following benefits have been added:
    * Members of your Community may use the Outpost's Construction Operation to perform Mine, Transfer, and other Commands without using up their own Operation.
    * The Outpost Operation can offer warp staging to members who have met the InfoSync Level requirement.

The Occupation and Control Operation Gameplay will soon be available to Explorers on the Pilot Server. The recruitment for the Pilot Server is expected to start on June 12, 2024. Please check out the official Recruitment Announcement post for more details.
We welcome everyone to sign up for the Pilot Server. Your feedback and suggestions will help us further optimize the gameplay experience. Thank you for your support for Infinite Lagrange. Please stay tuned!
