Occupation and Control Operation Gameplay Update Preview (1) - Landing Ship

2024-06-04

Dear Explorers, Greetings!

Space Battleships are the crown jewels of the Lagrange industrial system. To adapt to various combat and operational environments, major battleship manufacturers have custom-tailored a variety of weapon systems for battleships, providing them with combat, protection, power, and sailing capabilities in space. To adapt to the new needs for space tactics, some ships have been equipped with a brand new weapon system - the Operation System.

The Operation System is a special weapon system carried on battleships. It can provide battleships with breaching capabilities against target surfaces. Battleships equipped with this type of weapon will disengage from their own ally formation during combat and approach the target surface, and ultimately achieve internal control of the operation targets through landing operations. The operational and landing techniques of battleships will be mass-produced in the near future, with the X8 - Small Utility Ship, Mare Nubium - Light Landing Ship, and NOMA M470 - Heavy Landing Ship among the first to be equipped with corresponding Operation Systems in the initial technical update. Explorers with the respective Blueprint Authorization will receive the corresponding technical update.

For different ship types and Tech Route characteristics of these landing ships, manufacturers have designed corresponding combat styles for them:

Highly mobile, the prototype ship of the Mare Nubium Landing Ship executes the operations by attaching its entirety onto the target surface and continuously damaging the target surface. During prolonged operations, the operation module of the Mare Nubium has demonstrated excellent stability.

The operation modules equipped on the NOMA M470 and X8 fully utilize the advantages of their sizes in design. The operation modules are mounted on the front of the hull. After approaching the operation target, destructive impacts are inflicted on the target surface through the frontal structure, realizing rapid control over the target with a forward-dashing style. This is ideal for more harsh and complex operational environments.

With the introduction of operation modules, a new gameplay, "Control Operation," will be added to some resource nodes, docking points, Trading Posts, and other targets on the Expanse, allowing Explorers to use landing ships to initiate control operations on them. After obtaining individual control over them, the player will receive certain buffs. Individual Control Operation and Occupation gameplay will also be added to some Space Stations and other targets. After the Community completes the occupation of a Space Station Operation, Explorers may further obtain individual control over them and receive corresponding buffs.

In the next preview, we will give you more details about the Control Operation gameplay that will be introduced together with the Landing Ships. Thank you for your continued attention and support for Infinite Lagrange. Please stay tuned.
