New Agreement — Star System Rescue Gameplay Preview I

2024-01-17

Greetings, Explorers. Today, we're going to introduce the soon-to-be-released new feature — Star System Rescue Agreement. In the Star System Rescue, players will take on the role of rescuer, entering the desolate star system to fend off the Captors that are targeting the Lagrange Gate and reconstructing shelters.

Recently, the headquarters of the Antonios Security and Cooperation Administration has received numerous distress signals from the Lagrange Network. According to the report, within these desolate star systems, remnants of galactic factions have formed a massive group named Captor by using the only remaining resources within the star system in order to survive this chaotic and unordered environment. With their powerful armed force, the Captors have become the dominant power over these "ruins."

Under the threat of the Captors, remaining factions within the star system have banded together, sending out a distress signal to the Lagrange Network in hopes that the Dawn Accord Organization will send rescuers to save more factions from these ruins. More importantly, they hope to safeguard the Lagrange Gate from being destroyed by the Captors for the sake of the revival of the star system.

Captor fleets currently attacking the Lagrange Gate

Upon entering the star system and taking a short break, rescuers will confront multiple Captor attacks targeting the Lagrange Gate. Rescuers must join forces to defeat all Captor fleets before the Lagrange Gate's destruction.

The received reports reveal the following information about the Captors:

1. Initial Conflict

Rally region alert for the Captors in preparation

In the Captor Attack Operation this time, they are assembling a significant number of fleets near the Lagrange Gate, planning to initiate assaults from two different directions. During the preparation phase of the Captors, Explorers can deploy their fleets in advance to weaken the amassed fleets. At the end of the preparation phase, Captor fleets will be transferred to the vicinity of the assault target.

Combat direction alert for the Captors in preparation

During the process, some Captor fleets will pass through the Scattered Asteroid Belt near Lagrange Gate. Explorers must constantly monitor the access rights in this region. Once the Captors arrive at their designated region, they will launch their final operation after a brief preparation.

Community Operation created by local factions

In order to support all Explorers in their defense, the local factions have created a temporary Community Operation. All Explorers using this Community Operation will be treated as a Cordial relationship for the time being, collectively forming the ultimate defense force. The Captors' attack can only be stopped by defeating all Captor fleets.

2. Long-range Assault Ⅰ

Following the last battle, the Captors have incorporated a large number of aircraft squadrons into their current Combat Operation. During the preparation phase, the Captor fleet will continue to deploy the Strategic Strike to counter nearby fleets. Once they find a suitable location, aircraft squadrons will be deployed to carry out attacks.

3. Long-range Assault II

In the current round of attack operations, Captors will launch assaults simultaneously from three directions. The main attack direction is fortified with numerous cruiser fleets, which adopt a special combat tactic: interlocking blockades to protect Strategic Strike fleets, advancing to the designated location. Completion of the fleet rally in the preparation phase could give the Captors a local combat advantage, making it more difficult for Explorers to stop them. However, it could be a viable tactic if the Explorer fleet strikes the target in the middle of their transfer and rally process.

4. Battle Preparation I

In response to the Explorers' harassment during the preparation phase, Captors have implemented an Escort Operation for this round of attack, deploying multiple fleets to counter the actively attacking Explorer fleets. The intensity of the Captor attack this time is reduced. Yet, it's important to be aware that a few elite Captor fleets have gathered near the direction of the Lagrange Gate.

5. Blitzkrieg

During this battle, the Captors will commence a swift preparation operation against the Lagrange Gate. Captor fleets will quickly converge from different directions, initiating attacks at high speed against the target using warp drive. Explorers must promptly set up their defense force in the vicinity. The primary cruiser fleet of certain Captors will be coming from a different direction as well. Explorers will collaboratively decide how to neutralize this abrupt attack, be it through defense or active interception.

6. Showdown

With their prolonged but futile attacks on the Lagrange Gate, new factions affiliated with the Captor have joined the preparations for this assault. Reports show that their fleets specialize in conducting independent operations against the target. Tactics such as Combat Surge and Siege Tactics allow them to breach the defenses on the battlefield. Explorers must be wary of these fleet attacks at all times. Facing the challenge of these "duelists," "cooperation" might be the key to gaining an advantage on the battlefield.

7. Comprehensive Warfare

To expedite their operations against the Lagrange Gate, factions of different Captors are starting to coordinate their attacks. Blitzkrieg fleets traveling at high speed, Strategic Strike squadrons carrying super capital ships, fleet factions with formidable dueling capabilities... All of these have been mentioned in the report. Facing a joint attack from multiple directions, the situation for the Explorers is becoming even more dire.

8. Battle Preparation II

Following their all-out assault in the previous encounter, the Captors have decided to fuel their war efforts with ongoing battles. Even though the number of fleets deployed this time may not match the scale of the last one, these fleets still pose a considerable threat.

9. Betrayal

An unexpected attack alert echoes near the Lagrange Gate, revealing that a myriad of Captor fleets, using warp coordinates given by the disguised fleet "Traitor," have ambushed the vicinity of the Lagrange Gate. As Explorers notice the alert, the question arises whether it's already too late... A vast number of Captor fleets are now at a striking distance from the Lagrange Gate, readying for the final assault.

10. Grand Battle

This battle is set to go down in the annals of the star system's history. Captors have gathered every possible fleet power within the star system, preparing to launch their biggest operation against the Lagrange Gate. In the face of the Captor's all-or-nothing resolution, it's only through the Explorers' total unity that we have a chance of stopping this ultimate onslaught...

Alert for the Captor's assault intention

Should the Lagrange Gate be destroyed, the entire star system will be disconnected from the Lagrange Network, affecting every rescuer's rating results and settlement rewards.

Explorers embarking on the Star System Rescue missions will be the final barrier of defense for the Lagrange Gate. The question is whether they can remain connected to the Lagrange Network, preserving everyone's hope, or will they succumb to the formidable Captors and be engulfed in the wreckage of fleets? The safety of the Lagrange Gate rests in the hands of every Explorer within the star system.

This concludes the introduction of the Captor gameplay in the Star System Rescue Agreement. Up next, we will dive into the changes in the star system and the capabilities of the rescuers: map regions, personal facility occupations, and the combat item gameplay. Stay tuned.
