New Social and Team Gameplay Preview III New Community — A Better Cooperation

2024-01-08

In the previous gameplay preview, we introduced the features of squads. During star system explorations, squads can form Communities, enabling cooperation on a larger scale. In this session, we will go over some changes to the Community.

Introduction to the Visit Feature

Explorers can carry out the "Visit" command on members within the same Community. Following the visit, the visited player will enter an "InfoSync State" permanently with the visitor — the visited player's vision becomes accessible to the visitor, their facilities can be used as warp staging points by the visitor, and their resource distribution and other intel are visible to the visitor on the map. After completing a visit, the visitor will receive a certain amount of resource rewards.

As members of two squads visit each other, the InfoSync level between them will gradually increase. When the InfoSync level between two squads reaches 100, all members within these two squads will enter the "InfoSync State," allowing them to share vision, warp, and intel with each other.

Meanwhile, the "No Strength Without Unity" event now includes a new mission to visit comrades. Players can claim Proxima Coins by completing a certain number of visits each season. With the introduction of squads, the difficulty of the mission to occupy space stations in the "No Strength Without Unity" event has been reduced, now requiring the occupation of only up to Lv.3 space stations. Players can receive even more Proxima Coins from this event.

Strategic Features of a Community

Communities will now be responsible for the player's large-scale operations, where all members will remain in a cordial relationship, unable to attack each other.

The InfoSync level of the Community indicates how closely the squads within work together, and this will increase as the InfoSync level among these squads increases. Players can increase the InfoSync level of the Community by visiting each other and occupying space stations. The InfoSync level of the Community will increase over time.

As the InfoSync level of the Community increases, the following strategic features will be unlocked gradually:

1.Up to 6 Community Operations.Community Operations will replace previous Org Operations, and all members within the Community can use the Community Operation. The creator of a Community Operation can assign a specific squad to carry out the operation. When a space station is occupied by a Community, if it is within the Community Operation, then it will belong to the squad carrying out the operation.

2.Reinforcement within the Community. Explorers can reinforce other members within the Community.

3.Rally Attack within the Community. Explorers can initiate a Rally Attack within the Community, calling forth other members within the Community for a battle.

4.InfoSync across all members within the Community. When the InfoSync level within the Community reaches the highest value, all members within the Community will enter the "InfoSync State," allowing them to share vision, warp, and intel with each other.

In order to ensure a smooth experience for players who are currently exploring, at the launch of this feature, the InfoSync level of all Communities will be maxed out, unlocking every strategic feature.

Season Rating Rule Adjustments

We will make corresponding adjustments to the season rating rules, and they will now be based on Communities and Squads.

Season ratings start with the Community as a unit, factoring in occupancies, rating points, etc., for different levels of assessment. Within the Community, squads will be ranked based on occupancies or rating points to determine the final rating rewards.

In addition, officers of the Communities that achieve Level 1 or Level 2 ratings will receive extra Dawn Points as a reward.

In order to ensure the consistency of the season, changes to the rating rules will be applied to new servers launched after this feature update. The rating rules for star systems currently under exploration will remain unchanged.

The above are some changes to the Community. In the following part, we will introduce the "Free Explorer Association" — an Org formed by Explorers who have not joined any Unions, Guilds, or Clans.
