Earth Day Event Preview

2022-04-14

The first time warp technology was used to make the "bells" of the festival resonate throughout the entire galaxy via the Lagrange Network, I knew that "Earth Day," the Earth itself, and all of us collectively had ascended to a higher level.

—— Excerpt from a speech made by the organizers of the AC023 Earth Day, taken from "Summary of Research on the Cultural Development of Earth Day"

"Earth Day" is a traditional festival with one of the longest histories in the galaxy. Every year on this day, various organizations from across the solar system, together with Earth enthusiasts from every node, hold a series of events aimed at helping space inhabitants get a better understanding of the rich diversity of Earth culture since ancient times.

Earth Day Event Time:

April 20, 2022 08:00 (UTC) – April 27, 2022 00:00 (UTC)

Earth Day Event Scope:

All star systems.

Earth Day has an incredibly long history and is associated with a rich variety of cultural traditions. This Earth Day, pioneers will get the chance to take part in the following events.

1. Atmospheric Environment Cylinder

Every year on Earth Day, those with an interest in ecology can sign up for the Create Your Own Environment Cylinder Event with the Federation of Ecology Enthusiasts. After acquiring the relevant ecological knowledge and passing the relevant tests, candidates may collect the materials they need to create their own Environment Cylinder from their nearest Federation branch. These materials include a small airtight cylinder, growing media, seeds/semi-dormant plants, etc.

The Environment Cylinder is a small, airtight ecosystem with a built-in micro-climate simulator. This device enables simulation of the Earth's weather patterns, as well as control over the substances and energy cycles within the Environment Cylinder. You'll need to cultivate your Environment Cylinder at a space station equipped with a gravitational field similar to that of Earth, and ensure that the ambient temperature and sunlight levels are kept strictly within the parameters set by the Ecological Society. You'll need to patiently monitor conditions insider the cylinder, develop its internal ecosystem step-by-step, and take good care of it.

Pioneers will be able to observe the growth of plants in their Environment Cylinder each day, and generate reports from their records. You'll receive a Proxima Coin reward based on the number of reports you generate.

2. Warp Bells

As more and more Lagrange Nodes were discovered, countless pioneers from Terran Sphere ventured through Stargates into the unknown. As a result, distant star systems and innumerable nodes were explored, and our presence in the universe gradually expanded. Home planet Earth, our former home, became an increasingly alien concept to many of those born in space.

That was until the sound of bells began to ring out from the L001AB Stargate. The crystal-clear sound of the Terran Sphere bells spread across the Lagrange Network via Lagrange point, gradually spanning countless nodes until the sound resonated from all Stargates connected to the Lagrange Network. The custom of listening to Warp Bells continued to evolve over time, and eventually became one of the important rituals of the "Earth Day Event" held by Terran Sphere forces.

During Earth Day on April 22, pioneers in each star system will be able to open temporary communication channels to the Pioneers System using Lagrange Nodes, and head to the Stargate near the City of Antonios to listen to the Warp Bells. On this day of the festival, you'll be able to listen to the Warp Bells during three separate time periods. You'll receive a Proxima Coin reward the first time you listen to the Warp Bells. As a way of sharing this wonderful moment, pioneers will be able to exchange cordial words with one another when listening to the Warp Bells.

3. The Voice of Earth

The whereabouts of Voyager 1 and its Golden Disc, launched in Earth Year A.D. 1977, was one of the greatest unsolved mysteries in the Lagrange Network. This remained the case until the Gold Rush Era of Stargate construction, when a group of pioneers accidentally stumbled upon Voyager 1, together with its Golden Disc still as shiny as ever, on an asteroid in a new star system. It was for this reason that the new star system was also named "Voyager."

The Terran Sphere Government used ancient technology to restore a player capable of playing the Golden Disc, and subsequently released a large number of replicas throughout the galaxy. This resulted in a "Golden Disc craze." People were moved by the ancient sounds and fascinated by the amazing diversity of art and culture contained on the Golden Disc. It sparked a renewed interest in the study of ancient Earth culture across the galaxy. Since then, Terran Sphere has produced variously themed "Golden Discs" for important celebrations or memorial days, famous examples of which include "The Voice of Twins," "Reflections of Galaxy" and "Century of Endless Dawn" After the war, the production of a Golden Disc gradually became one of Earth Day's cultural events.

During the festival, pioneers will be able to listen to the theme music for this Earth Day Event. By listening to the theme, you'll get a better understanding of the story behind the music. You'll also receive a Proxima Coin reward the first time you tap Share and leave a comment.

4. The History of Earth Day

"Earth Day" is a traditional festival with one of the longest histories in the galaxy. The origins of the festival can be traced back to the environmental protection movement on Earth during ancient times. As times changed, so too did the connotations of Earth Day. The evolution of Earth Day serves as a bellwether for cultural history, a silent witness to the development and changes of the Earth over many thousands of years.

During the festival, pioneers will be able to listen to a presentation on the history of Earth Day. You'll receive a Livery Point reward the first time you listen to the first chapter, and a Proxima Coin reward for listening to all the chapters.

5. Terran Sphere Chamber of Commerce

The Earth-Centauri Economic Circle was the first large-scale intergalactic economy of the Lagrange era. It led to the creation of numerous enterprises and economic systems that had far-reaching implications for future generations. The Earth-Centauri Economic Circle issued Proxima Coins, a universal currency still in widespread circulation throughout the galaxy. The Terran Sphere Chamber of Commerce has used Proxima Coins as a means of trade for many years.

During the festival, pioneers will be able to exchange Proxima Coins for a limited number of Ship Tech Files.

The above is an outline of the origins of "Earth Day" and details of associated gameplay. Earth Day events will begin once updates and maintenance are complete on April 20, 2022.

While the Earth remains a distant place of legend for many of the galaxy's inhabitants, they still consider the concept of "living on one planet" to be highly intriguing. The Earth's complex and varied ecosystems, cultural diversity, long history and tradition of philosophies passing from generation to generation is a source of fascination for many of those living in space. We hope that the Earth Day Event will give all pioneers the chance to share in the rich and colorful culture that Terran Sphere has to offer.
